I wrote all of them and made him write about 6 (for people that I really didn't have a relationship with) and he had the hardest time getting throug them. He really appreciated how hard it was to do all of them after that

Jt would NEVER tell me it's the 'girl's' job! He did the thank yous for his side of the family and his friends!

There's a post about this on the NW board...basically, we get stuck with the crummy job!!

I wrote out 100% of them...his job was to make sure they were all stamped and had the right addresses. I later found out 2 went out without addresses...he never left them out for me to write. Good job DH!

ETA: I wanted to add that DH writes like a 2 year old...so even if he offered to help (which he didn't) I wouldn't have accepted.

he helped, but only because I MADE him! he whined about it 3x longer than it took him to actually do it

I'm sorry, but there was no way I was writing out a thank you to 2 of his bosses who I barely even know and some other people who sent gifts that I never met.

I never would have let Shaun get away without writing them!! He wrote out all the TYs for his family and friends which was a little less than half. He actually finished them before I did!

I wrote out all the thank yous for our e-party and I probably will for the wedding too. He has horrible handwriting.

I was shocked after our e-party when FH said he'd write them for his family. I hope it continues for the wedding thank yous.

One day while complaining that he did NOTHING to help with the planning, he offered to write ALL the thank yous instead. He actually is a better thank you writer than me. But I still put it in writing

I did write a couple but ALL I heard for months was how I had such a 'helpful and considerate' husband

Oh mine is! I won't let him get away with it. I will lock him the room with no food, water or bathroom. Until he gets this done. My E-party he didn't write a darn one! I was pissed! I refused to do it, I told him he is going to face his family, NOT ME!

DH still has nightmares about writing the TYs from his Bar Mitzvah, so I spared him.

I gave him his immediate family...Sisters, Mom & Dad, Grandpa, etc.
