Poll- were you REALLY suprised at your shower?

i knew...only FH knew i knew......but i told everyone a few weeks later when they asked a million times
regardless if you know or not...i WAS surprised at all the people and all the decorations!!!

I pretty much knew which weekend my shower was planned for, but I didn't know where it was going to be held. I live in CT so it wasn't easy trying to find an excuse for me to go to my parents' house in LI for the weekend without me becoming suspicious. When people asked if I was surprised I told them the truth. Maybe that was mean of me, but I didn't feel like lying. I let my BMs know I appreciated everything they did for me. I didn't really care whether or not I was surprised, especially since I didn't know any of the details of the shower or where it was going to be held.

I'm having my shower in Boston, so I am telling everyone that all I want to know is the date. I don't want to know any details, or where it will be. I want all that to be a total surprise.

Where in CT? I've lived in CT for 4 years and even have a CT driver's license, but when people ask me where I'm from I usually say LI.

me too _ we still didnt do a get together
i do have a liscense though (but i wanted to keep my NY one they wouldnt let me ) I am a NYer/LIer though, whenever someone asks

My MOH accidentally included me on an e-mail to the BP about the specifics a few days before. Up until then I had no idea. To this day only one BM knows that I knew and I told her after the fact.

I totally completely new about it...even confronted my family about it...they STILL tried to play it off as a surprise even up to the moment I walked it and peaked around and said Hi to everyone...
