POLL: What to do...work related
okay, most of you know that I had been very unhappy with my job.
It's getting better. I'm probably not going to get a pay raise for a while, but I have a new boss and he's AWESOME.
Now there is an opportunity for a promotion- but it's in another area, so I would have to transfer.
Now, I have a 30 minute bus ride into the city and I walk or take the subway to see my clients. I have the best territory- right near my office and near Port Authority.
If I transer, I have to drive to all of the clients, wherever they may be in Northern NJ (where I live) all the way to LI. And, I'd have to deal with all of the obnoxious clients because that's part of the promotion.
I'd get a 5 % pay increase and a better job title.
edited to add: My boss doesn't want to lose me, but admitted that there isn't much room for advancement in my territory.
