I wanted to be the only bride there... and lots of good food. I would say the most important thing was that it was unique... I was looking at vineyards but settled on the Vanderbilt mansion bc of cost and bc of its unique history and beauty.. and cuz i don't anyone who got married there!

I picked aesthetics but it was that, food, reputation and only one wedding at a time.

We got such an awesome price and we have LOTS of OOT that will be flying in and the hotel has a shuttle.
I stay there for work many times, so I know many of the employees, which has kind of personalized the whole thing for me....

Most definitely the food! That's why for us, Villa's was a no-brainer. We fell in love with the ambiance also.

FH and I had worked together for years in a popular catering hall. we wanted something a little different. USMMA had a beautiful view, good food and not many people have ever been there.

We were also happy that we would be able to have our church ceremony in a church while still on the grounds of the reception. The Chapel is actually considered a National Memorial too.

When it came down to choosing between places that were
beautiful and had good food and service, the important
things for us were having a seperate chapel and
and elevator if the hall had multiple floors. And after it all,
we have neither of those.

When money comes first you usually have to compromise on about everything that you asked about. But, after money, good food and aesthetics.

When it came down to it, all of what you mentioned were equally important. As several others mentioned I wanted a place where it was one wedding a time, and had great food. My company has done many things at many of the other catering halls, so I wanted something a little more personal for me.
