What reception site is everyone getting married at?? There are a LOT of newly engaged on this website and we need advice!!! What is the 'norm' for price-range during spring-summer??

I'm getting married & having my reception at the Woodlands on the Town of Oyster Bay Golf Course. They just did a huge addition and are putting the finishing touches on it as we speak. They are in Woodbury. They were pretty flexible with us because their facility is so new and they didn't have anything to show people until recently!

They can also do a straight dinner menu if you wanted to cut costs and have a shorter event like a dinner for an anniversary party or something like that.

Stewart Manor Country Club. We loved it as soon as we walked in. No glamor, neon lights, marbel. Cozy. fireplace when you walk in cocktail room, and main hall.

I grew up in Hampton Bays, I love Quogue. Did you grow in Quogue?

I now live in the Manorville area.

We are getting married and having our reception at Timberpoint Country Club in Great River.

We're getting married at the Woodbury Country Club. $65 pp with beautiful grounds and great menus!

They have a lot of pics on the site.

Woodbury Country Club does look great...one of my best friends is getting married there July 2004, so I can't do that....but, it looks beautiful!!

Didn't grow up in Quogue...just here now. I just moved back to LI...I was going to school in Florida.
I love it out East on LI, though...hoping to get my fiance to move out here

I don't see why you couldn't get married at the same place as one of your friends...it's not like it would be exactly the same. However, I understand that maybe you don't want to be appearing to copy her or whatever. I just never thought of it as a big deal. I'm sure wherever you pick, it will be beautiful!

Well...we're friends with a LOT of the same people...and there are so many places on LI, I think it might be a little weird, especially b.c our weddings won't be that far apart

Hey, you need to do whatever makes you happiest!

Have you checked out any of the Scotto Bros. places? They're all reasonably priced and offer various styles.
