Stupid question- what's a head table? Is that the table with the dais?
I think we're doing a sweetheart table!

the last 2 weddings i was in the brides did the head table, ( which means everyone but the BP gets to sit with their date) and i hated every minute of it. yes u only have to sit there for dinner, but it just s*cks that everyone else gets to eat dinner and with their FH, but since ur in the BP, u can't. needless to say, i'm doing a sweetheart table.

A head table is where the whole bridal party sits together at the long table with the bridal groom in the middle.
sweetheart is when just the bride and groom sit by themselves

Sweetheart table. I've been to a few weddings where they had head tables and as a member of the BP, it s u c k e d to be seperated from my date and to not be able to talk with everyone at the table since its one loooong table and you cant talk to anyone but whoever is next to you.

Im doing a head table cause for whatever reason, its something that my FH really wants. Soooo, thats what were doing. I dont really care either way.

I think people are leaning towards sweetheart tables more,,, lately
they seem like better seating arrangements around the couple, too

sweetheart here too!! I think it's nicer when the BP gets to sit with their date. and 1/2 the time the bride and groom aren't even sitting down so why make the BP sit up front without their dates.

Neither. We are sitting at a regular table with our siblings and their significant others.

We're doing sweetheart table. Our BP is so big that a head table would be stupid (i.e. not including us it's like 14 in the BP) but even if it were smaller, I'd rather a sweetheart table. FH was in his sister's wedding a few years ago and he had to sit with the BP. I sat at the family table but it wasn't the same.
