After the WOTY, I am entranced with long tapers. Do you think I should do two tapers like this:

I like the votives - I am the ultimate clutz and I'd be afraid I would hit the tapers over and start a fire!

votives

1- the tapers are sometimews slanted in pics (that botrhers me)
2- the votives are in a glass thing- similar to the way your flowers are in a glass vase

Votives all the way...I think the tapers will take away from the CP's! Your CP's are absolutely gorgeous, so I think that is your best bet!!!

votives

are you OCD like me too?

here's the deal though, the votives bother me because i can't find a good deal on square ones and the round ones don't match the vase.... OCD to the extreme!!!

you make an interesting point.... may have to think about that.

sometimes i am more scared of votives because at my MOH's wedding I put a piece of paper on top of them.

at least with the tapers, you see them and know that's fire!

I like the votives better. Would your hall even let you use lit tapers? I think there's too great of a risk of them falling and something catching on fire. I also think the votives look more romantic.

I thought my hall was going to use votives, but to my surprise when they showed me the room all set up they had tapers, and it looked soooooooooooo gorgeous!

you KNOW that would bother me...but I am still a fan of the votives...maybe instead of the glass you could get the square candle trays (the small ones) so even if you don't get the glass part matching, you still get the square shape going from the tray...or just look for a sale

did you try Jamali gardens?

votives only because they are easier to manipulate when they are on the table..

I only know because I looked high and low for them... my centerpiece vase is square like yours.

I would rather cancel the whole thing before I would place round votives next to them!!
