POLL: Which ring do you like better?

POLL: Which ring do you like better?

Starting to look for our rings. Both are $100 difference so that's not really an issue.

Which one do you guys like better?

#1 (2 carats bald diamonds, white gold)

#2 (1 carat, channel set, platinum)

Oh yeah

It's a thick platinum band, solitaire old miner's cut (which essentially is round), six prong.

I have a solitaire round with no side stones also, and I picked a channel set wedding band with beading. It was the best match

have you tried both on??? Since I got something like #1 but already had something like #2 I cant tell you the second one is much more comfortable.

I voted #1...if your er band is thick #2 might add to much width...#1 looks more dainty

Hmmm... I had wondered about that, that's funny that you mention it. I have to try them both on but these are the 2 styles I'm looking at. We're going to try to get a jeweler we know to price match whichever I decide to go with (or even one of them, that may make the decision). Is the one you have now actually uncomfortable or just not as comfortable?

Hmmm I like them both so I dont know. I would think #2 would be more comfortable - for me at least. Sorry I am not much help!

One thing to keep in mind..you cannot resize those rings properly.

And if you do, you will lose diamonds and the look, in the process.

If that is of no concern, I would pick #2. Our bands are similar except that the diamonds don't go all the way around.

Honestly at first it was pretty uncomfortable.. it didnt feel natural and you cant close your fingers all the way. I had to keep trying mine on to get used to it and now I dont think its as bad.... I think after awhile you really wont notice it at all. But the second style is definitly the more comfortable one. It lays flat against you ering and you can close your fingers... that one dosent take any getting used to at all.

Re: POLL: Which ring do you like better?

Sorry a little long but this might be things you didn't think of. Recently, I did a poll of my friends who have diamond bands. It largely depends upon your lifestyle.

Band #1- One of my co-workers has one (she has a very large wedding set) and she doesn't it. She never catches the prongs on anything because she 1. doesn't have children yet, 2. has a cleaning lady, 3. doesn't cook, and her work doesn't interfere with it. Another person I know has a smaller one like that and wishes she didn't... she's a teacher with two young children who is always running from here to there. She says she is always afraid she banged it or it has gotten caught on her kids clothes etc.

Band #2- Two of my friends have this. Both are very active moms who work full time and do a lot of cooking, cleaning, errand running and one even coaches cheerleading. The sleek design of this ring fits more into their lifestyle.

My advice is to also think about your lifestyle whenever we buy jewelry. Do you exercise, cook, clean, always have a project, etc. Don't just thinkk about how they look together.

JMO hope it helps.

well #1 is nicer IMO, however if ur ering is platinum then make sure u wedding ring is plat as well,...or vice versa w. the white gold.

I wouldn't go with either..happy medium:

5 stone ring? The stones are only in the front and never touch your other fingers. I have it and it's very comfy and sparkly!

Could we see a picture of the engagement ring? I picked the first one only because it would go better with MY engagement ring, but then I realized, you may not be wearing the same ring
