My fiance is my Brother in Law's best friend. I have had a crush on my fiance since I was 10, one day I went to get my hair done at my sister's shop and we were talking about everyone I have not seen in a while and Jimmy came up and a told my sister how I use to have such a crush on him, and then the rest is history. (I still have a crush on him )

My FI and I meet at work. He let me in the building and held the door for me on my first day. We have been friends ever since. We were friends for three years before we started dating.

We met online ...nope, I didn't believe it would work either until it happened to yours truly!

We became super-close email 'buddies' for nearly 6 mos and actually weren't planning on meeting (didn't want to ruin a beautiful friendship, and we were both chicken) until he spontaneously emailed me at 1am and said 'I'm driving 2 hours to meet you - NOW!'

Good thing he did, b/c it was love at first sight!!

FH and I first met at the bar where I work ( he was friends with a co-worker). I was dating someone else and really did not think much about him. A couple months later he came in again for my co-workers work b-day celebration. Well, my I was single again and he asked me out. It was the bestest first date in history!!!!!!!

What about you?

We're not exactly sure when we met.
We were probably introduced in passing in college at some point. We had mutual friends
& were acquantiances for a while.

What about you?

We met online. After looking for the wrong girl for a loooong time and some online disaster dates, we took a while. we took about two months to talk which was a really good idea to get to know each other (email and eventually the phone) we met.. and soon we'll be walking up the aisle together!

We met in 8th grade at a teen program and dated on and off in High School, and have been officially together since 12th grade. We've been together for 5 years now, but if you count all the on and off stuff before 12th grade it would be a lot longer.

Looking at the earky results of those who voted.. and I hope a lot more do too....

I am surprised about how many (myself included) met online and also through work... usually.. and feel free to disagree with me.. these have been taboo places to meet (you hear of the wackos on the net.. and fear of sexual harassment in the workplace).

I'm not surprised that most meet through friends and family.
