My parents both want to walk me down the aisle. I was wondering if this was customary.

I wanted to have my mom and dad, but my mom does not want to do it. She does not feel comfortable

Having my Two older Brothers....My Parents have passed away.....But I think I would just have had my Dad....something That every Dad dreams of when he here's 'its a Girl' for the first time. I wouldn't want to take that dream from him.

I want to walk myself. I'm 33 and have lived in my own place since I left for college 16 years ago. I'm not close to my Dad at all.

I am walking it alone. My parents are divorced and I just feel like it is the best choice for me

It is customary to have both parents walk you down in a Jewish wedding. My mom wanted to walk me down the aisle, but then she changed her mind. She wants to be able to see me walking.
Yeah, I thought it was strictly a Jewish wedding custom, but apparently lots of non-jewish couples do that now also. Only my dad walked me down the aisle (traditional Catholic way). My mom wouldn't have felt comfortable, and I would have felt weird also. Both of my DH's parents walked him down the aisle. Both ways were nice.

Both of my parents walked with me. It's a Jewish custom, but also I just think it's nice to honor both parents that way.

i always pictured me and my dad! But now that the wedding plans are in full bloom and i look back on how much my mom has been there w/ me...i now want them both!

Both. My parents are divorced and I wanted to be traditional and have my dad but I also wanted my mom to be honored.
