POLL: Whose family is nicer/more welcoming?

I find that in a lot of families, one side is just nicer, or more hospitable or more supportive. This REALLY comes out at the wedding time. Also, it seems like sometimes one person becomes part of the other person's family more so than vice versa. With me and FH, my family is SOOO much more supportive, and he's considered part of MY immediate family and I could never feel like part of his (as in his parents, etc).

For us it's funny, my dad loves's FH like the son he never had. As for his family, we've had our differences and ups and downs, but I think we're really luck too in that they all do care about both of us. Just when I thought that maybe FMIL didn't like me too much - she went out of her way to go to a store (she doesn't drive either!) to get me something I needed for my recently diagnosed acid reflux (it was a sloped pillow so that I'm properly elevated when I sleep). When she first told me of such an item she showed it to me in a catalogue and I told her to let me know when she places an order. Yesterday when I came home FH told me that his mom bought me this. She does take care of me and his father always refers to me as 'his girl' (mind you I'm not the only DIL), it's nice.
