Poll...Gender Selection

This morning I saw a piece of TV about gender selection. A couple was on that had 2 boys already and they really wanted a girl. So they went to a fertility Dr. who implanted her husbands X only sperm into her eggs and had twin baby girls. What do you think about this and would you do it?


At first I was like that's playing God, but then I thought if you have a genetic trait that could be carried on in a certain sex then maybe it should be done for the health of the child.

That sort of stuff reminds me of the movie Gattica... it freaks me out!

If you just 'want' a certain gender you can adopt from a ton of places. But if you have a genetic issue then it is okay IMO. I could only imagine how hard that would be to want a child, but know if you had a certain gender the child could have a life-threatening disease!
