Polo Restaurant, Garden City Hotel
We're planning a small, intimate dinner following our ceremony in February 2009. I really like the private Polo Wine Bar at the Garden City Hotel. We're going there tomorrow to check it out.
I've read a lot about negotiating at halls but does anyone know if I could use the same strategies at a restaurant?
Also, they are charging a 21% service charge...should I try to get them to reduce that?
We're planning on staying at the hotel that night. Do you think they will give us a discount because of that?
The price fix menu includes dessert but we are planning on having a small cake from a bakery. Do you think they will reduce the price based on the fact that we don't want/need the dessert option?
Is February a busy time for weddings?
