I was going to try to make my own pomander balls to decorate the church pews for the wedding ceremony. Has anyone made these before? I have watched some videos on how to make them, but what size styrofoam balls are typically used for this type of decoration?

They are very easy to make. I originally used 5' balls but I find them quite large and they use a lot of carnations. I would suggest 3', which I did for my second set. Much more economical.
The best bet is to stalk websites like, www.saveoncrafts.com, for their sales on silk flowers to get good prices.
