The little guy went out in the snow with me for about 10 minutes today so I could shovel a bit, and when he came inside his legs were COVERED in golf ball-sized snowballs!!! TONS of them!!! Poor thing. It's common w/ poodles & similar breeds. SO we just spends lots of time under the hair dryer towel drying him off, Oh Brother!
the same thing happens to my parent's dog.....but thier dog likes to eat them off of herself

When he runs in the snow, the snow catches/adheres to his hair & it forms 'balls'.

Re: Poor Rudy!!! (With PICS)
That happens to Hershey when her hair is long (I guess on Bailey's legs too now that I think of it). But instead I was a HORRIBLE mommy and got her groomed REALLY short last week and instead she's shivering! And darn if I can find a sweater to fit her!! (that isn't a fortune!). She's hard to fit ... since she's kind of a BIG small dog ...
I did order some stuff from thedogoutfitters last night - hopefully it will come fast and FIT (unlike the stuff I just had to return to Petco).

Aww...Hershey got shaved, huh? Rudy is overdue for the groomer, in fact, his hair is a bit matted in some areas, I'm afraid his body might have to get shaved as well. I just hope they keep his face shaggy/fluffy.
