okay ladies I have a quick question to ask and I need everyone to be completely honest with me.
I am planning on proposing to my girlfriend next Sunday. I am acually placing an 1/2 page ad in the newsday. Well, here's catch. Her best friends bridal shower is the day before...and my gf is the maid of honer.. If your best friend got engaged the day after your shower how whould you feel about that. Would you feel mad that someone is taken away from your moment? etc........

Re: Popping the question...need advice
Thank you so much guys....Cause I have been speaking to my gf father recently...( I already asked him for his blessing)...:), and he told me that I should think about changing the date cause people may look down at us cause we got engaged after her best friends shower........ So confused!!!!!!! Almost as if we are taking the spot life away from her friend......

As long as you wait until the shower is over, I think it's fine. Does she have plans with the friend the next day?

That's sooooooooo sweet, I absolutely wouldn't be mad, I'd be happy for her!!!!!!! If you were to do it the day before her shower then maybe I could see your GF's friend being upset, but the day after should be really nice!!!!

Re: Popping the question...need advice
That is fine, I don't think her friend should have a problem with it. I mean it is not like you are proposing at her wedding...like my friends BF did! Yup, you heard me, at my wedding. Her mother wanted to know if he could propose in the middle of the dance floor infront of my whole family...I told her no, b/cI was not comfortable with that, so he went outside and did it in the lobby.
