I love them! The only thing is, where it states your name and his name, i would either add your last name, or take his last name away...

Like:

Amanda Lynn
and
Christopher Patrick

OR

Amanda Lynn D****
and
Christopher Patrick (last name, i don't know it)

The only reason I am using the wording like I posted it, and not like you did, is that my parents are paying, and I feel it's only right that their name only be at the top. I do want his parents name on there too, so, IMO, the way I worded it is best, for me.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I have his last name there, because he wants Esq. after his name. So, in order to keep the Esq. I guess I should add my last name too? Will that be too much, my last name twice, and then his twice?

I see what you are saying, but in my opinion, I think that it should match so either use both last names, or no last names.

Are the response cards going to be addressed to your parents? B/c maybe if they aren't you can have them addressed to Chris and then he can use the esq there... did that make any sense? lol

Awe!!! At least you are working on the invites!!! Personally, if my parents wree paying for the ewdding, I'd put their names on the return address envelope. That is more traditional. (Even though my parents aren't paying, but have contributed, I am having the RSVP's addressed to them). I don't think it will be a problem to do the
Amanda Lynn D and Christopher Patrick **, Esq. If it meand that much to him, let him have it!

I like your wording

And i agree that your parents name should be on top.
The only thing i am shaky of is the last names of you and FH they should be consistent either both have it or none. (JMO) I like it without the last names as in a wedding you should know who the bride and groom are (and guests will know that FH is an Esq.)

I completely agree. The whole Esq. thing is the one thing that FH is really asking for, and, although EVERYONE knows he's and Esq., I don't want to upset him and NOT put it.

I don't know what to do.

So then you HAVE to put it, then just add your last name to it so it can be more consistent. If that's the only thing he is requesting then make him happy and put it in

I agree, and, I will add my last name. He liked the wording, now, I just have to wait for my mom to see it....... can't make that call without her!

just an aside...I don't know if you're into the 'rules' ( I know I'm really not...) but, 'they' say, you're only supposed to use 'honor of your presence' when the ceremony is in a church. If the ceremony is elsewhere, it's 'supposed' to read, 'pleasure of your company'
Like I said...not a big deal, it's what the etiquette police say

I've never heard that...... oh well. I guess I'm breaking the rules!!!

oh, it's REEEEEDICULOUS the amount of 'rules' they have! I LOVE reading them though! I'm a vat of useless wedding trivia...
