Hi 07 brides... I am currently an 08 bride - I got engaged in December and have since booked a place and a band and have done lots of research on everything else. My fiance and I are now considering pushing up the date to Sept 07 which would give us about 6 months to really plan the wedding since we havent done that much yet (although we pretty much know all the vendors we would want to use, etc). Do you all think its feasible or is it really going to be tough? Thanks in advance for your thoughts!!

its possible if u already know who you want to book and you know they are available. otherwise you may have to settle for other vendors. come join us sept07 brides

i think you can totally plan a wedding in 6 months! if you can afford it and its feasible...go for it! its not that tough to do!!!

If you know who you'd like to use, your first step is seeing if you can get the hall/vendors you want for the '07 date you are thinking of...if not then it might be difficult because you would need to research them again..if the date is available i see no problem getting it all done in 6 months..

If you know which vendor you are going to use, I don't think pushing up the date is a problem. I am a Nov. bride but we didn't start planning until Jan this year.(We spend 3 months for the vendor s research) and we just booked all the major vendors) If your RH and other vendors have your date available, why not?

I think some of the major vendors may be booked like photo and video but it could definitely work!

of course! I had a very elaborate wedding....got engaged in August, and was married in Feb. That's 6 months. Not only that, but in those six months we also bought a new home, fixed it, and moved in. (much more stressful than a wedding) THIS IS TOTALLY DOABLE.

You absolutely can!! I got engaged in Nov, and we're done with everything alreayd. My dress and the BM dresses are in already! Just don't go crazy over little details and you'll be fine. I have a great photog, so FM me for details. If you're gonna do it though, order your dress like next week because they can take a while to come in. I was crazy lucky that mine only took 3 months, it's Lazaro, so maybe they're quick.... I dunno, but get on that so you don't need to worry. Same with the BM dresses!

I've only been planning since December (January, really) and am getting married in May. If you can find vendors you like and a hall you like, this is totally do-able!!!

Before you switch-- call the vendors you want. If they're not booked, then grab 'em and change your date!

You can definitely do a Sept 07 wedding Be flexible about the date and have your checkbook ready!
