Can things be added on once your dress is in? I was thinking of adding on off the shoulder straps to my strapless dress, but was wondering if this is something that should be done before it comes in, and now I'm stuck?

Yes, yes, yes - definitely....!
I bought my dress from Macys - it's not in yet, but the sales person I was working with gave me a bunch of suggestions and options for the sleeves on my dress. They can do a lot of things during the alteration process.
My dress has small cap sleeves that are slightly off the shoulder. I am thinking about adding snaps to them so that they can be removed if I decide -
Talk to the people where you purchased the dress and explain what you are thinking - they will tell you what is possible.

I was at the Macy's Bridal Salon in Herald Square and she told me after the dress is ordered, during your alterations you can add or remove whatever you like.... she told me this was costly though but its whatever makes you happy.

Like everyone said- you can but make sure the person you go to is good so the work matches the rest of the dress...
