This was disappointing to hear considering all the planning that we as brides put into the wedding, only to end up not even enjoying some of the details we worked so hard on.

I read this earlier and that is why I'm greatful that we booked our church with about a 4 hour gap
Church @ 2 CH @ 6
This will give us enough time to take pics at church, additional location and RH before CH begins.
Since we are paying for the entire thing (except my dress, shoes, veil and headpiece..thanks mom) we want to see everything since it does go so fast.

I'm thinking that my timeline is too close now that you mention it. Maybe I'll add on 30 min b/w ceremony and CH since it's about a 20 minute drive. I don't want to feel panicked that day and have to pop a Xanax!

Well, unfortunately for them, but maybe something we can learn from. We're doing pics before the actually ceremony, so we get to enjoy the food we are picking. Since I'm dieting, people better move out my way that day! Crazy bride alert that day!

this is great info.....thanks for sharing it! I have 3 hours between my ceremony and CH. I hope that's enough to take pics and make it to CH on time!!

I hope I don't miss anything! We have a huge gap between church and reception because FH is adamant about going to cocktail HR.

Seems like the big thng everyone seems to miss is the CH - which I think is expected. You'll try your hardest to avoid missing it and getting things like pictures and greeting guests out of the way so you can get some CH food, but 9x out of 10 never seems to work out. I'm hoping we can get to the CH, and we have a good chance with the schedule laid out for pictures and whatnot, but I'm not banking on it.

I never thought about going to my cocktail hour - because I have not been to many weddings where the B&G attend the cocktail hour... BUT, FH wants to be a part of everything at our wedding... SOOOOOO I guess I need to rethink some things... Thanks for sharing these posts!!!

I am very worried/upset about missing my CH - but I'm getting married at the RH so I don't think there is much I can do anway :(

No matter how much you plan you arent going to be able to do everything on your wedding day. Remember you are the bride and you are going to be pulled in 100 diffrent directions. Just hope everyone has an amazing time and if you make it to CH awesome if not its ok.

i expect this to happen - but no matter what, i'm going to try my hardest to make it to the CH - hopefully the fact that it's an hour and half will give me time to get some goodies!!!
i will be that bride that ppl will come and hug as i'm stuffing my mouth my food!

ya know I was thinking about when i was married in 95 and I seriously don't remember a LOT. I dont know if its bc I was so nervous and stressed, or bc it was a long time ago, or what..but wow.
I remember walking down the stairs from the bridal suite in my dress and my ex was standing there and said wow and I was like I'm gonna throw up. lol

We are getting married at the RH and taking pics before the ceremony. I want to be done with pics 1/2 before the ceremony. Maybe I will make the start time for the pics ealier so we will be done in time. I refuse to miss my CH.
