post from BRB- OPINIONS NEEDED

So MOB is telling me that the groomsman have to get their own ride home from the wedding. I'm sorry but isn't that wrong??? I of course assumed they would be included in the limo both ways.

We have 2 limos so shouldn't one be for the bridal party and one for family (FH only has 5 family members taking limo, IF that)

Am I totally wrong?? I have only been involved in one wedding and the bridal party was so small this wasn't an issue.

Please tell me how the limos work because if I am totally wrong I am going to have to apologize to her LOL

TIA LADIES!!!!!

IMO, I am providing transportation home for all bridal party members. I want them to be able to enjoy being in my wedding and not have to worry about getting home.

This is pretty standard.

Most people just rent the limos for 3 or 4 hours to get them from home to the church to the RH and that's it. Otherwise you'd be paying for a lot of the limos just idling around and that'd be a waste. HTH!

ETA: I'm having coach buses anyway and those will be bringing guests home so the BP can catch a ride ont he coach bus but that's extra, more often than not this isn't provided.

I think most wedding they have to find their own way home. We did not pay for limo home for anyone. Most had dates so their date drove and a few parked at the hotel and took the shuttle back partied there for a bit then went home.

I have never been in a wedding where we were provided home transportation.

Hmmm interesting ladies. I am so torn. I don't know how else the BP would get home as some live out of state (i.e. won't have dates or a car and since we are all young won;t be staying at a hotel will be crashing on couches LOL)

PLUS we get these 2 limos for free (not sure how many hours, will find out tomorrow) so if we could afford it, I would want to get everyone home safe (RH is 40 minutes from where we all live)I guess when I find out the details tomorrow, it will be easier to make a decision.

What bugged me was that MOB wants her(our) family taken care of and my friends are stuck to fend for themselves. I guess that's why I got a little upset, I felt it was a slap in the face to FH and myself. I mean if we have 2 limos why can't everyone be included? That way family and friends are taken care of. Errrhhhhh I dunno!!

Of all the weddings I have been in, I have never taken a limo home. I just went home with FH in his car. I just figure that all of our bridal party will have husbands, wives, or dates and that they would want to leave the wedding with them, in their own cars.

I didn't think it would be required to provide transportation home for everybody. We don't have a shuttle or a limo staying to take anybody home. We have a hotel block is a few minutes away and a majority of the bridal party will be staying there so their significant others obviously will be driving in their own cars so I kinda figured they'd have a ride home or to the hotel with them. Worse comes to worse we will just tip our town car that's taking fh and I to the hotel to make a couple trips to the crest hollow to bring people to the hotels...
I wouldn't feel obligated to find tm a ride home. Itd end up being way too much money to have the limo's wait around til the end of the wedding IMO.
