Post Office Rant!!!<~~Long

Post Office Rant!!!<~~Long

So my mother was kind enough to take all of our invitations to the post office this morning. We had three boxes full and they were all stamped and ready to go...or so we thought...we had put bows on them (pics in album) and figured that the postage would change because of them. Well, FH took one already assembled to the post office last week. The woman was feeling it and playing around with it for like 5 minutes. She kept asking what was wrong with it so he explained there was a knot from a bow on the actual invite...well to make a long story short she said it would be fine and to use regular I guess its $0.58.
So we make all the invitations put them together and whatnot and give them to my mom. She goes to the post office this morning to bring them and the woman wouldnt take them!!! She said they would fit into the 'slot' (not sure which, I think the one that marks them when they get sent out) and that my mom needs to put more postage on!!! Shes like what????? My FSIL brought these in and someone told him they were fine! So in the end my mom had to borrow $50 from a stranger...hand stamp them (after arguing that she refused to put the stamps they were offering her on my invites) and then sent them out...in all she had to pay an additional $82!!!
They are animals I tell you!!! I wish I were there I would have drop kicked someone! (j/k i'm not that cool)

~The End~

so sorry...that totally *****!!! my sister went through the exact same thing this past year...brought her invites in, someone weighed them...and whats worse is she special ordered stamps from zazzle.com once she found out how much postage was needed for each stamp...so she waits, gets these special stamps in the mail with thir names and wedding date...brings them to post office to be mailed out and a different person says they have no idea why anyone would have told her the postage they did!!!! again, so sorry...but just think, they are mailed out and now you get to wait for rsvp's!!!!
