Post Photographers and price range

I am having so much trouble choosing a photographer. Please post who you guys went with and if you don't mind - give me a price range.

it really depends on what your want and how much your want to spend.. i think it be better for you to go the other way. there are many styles and types. you can get away w/ spending anywhere from 1000 to +5000

avg being in the middle

do you want video? from the same place or differenent?

many many questions

Duet. I got their package that was $2,999. They range from 1,699 (just proofs) to 3,499. but you can customize.

Perceptions--I think they have packages starting at $2500 going up to $5000+

We are using Twelfth Night, and are paying $2200 for the photographers, proofs, negatives and DVDs with the digital pix. Digial albums (magazine style/soho) run about $1300 additional...

digital memeories, anywhere from 3,000 to 10,000. we are going for about 5,000. plus extras we want after the wedding, they are the best ive seen in photojournalism.

Artisan Photo Group. Price varies with what you want and your budget. We are getting much more with Chuck for the price than we were with other photographers for great work.

UPDATED: We used BM and would NOT recommend them.

Good choice. We decided to budget in other places but not in pictures since they last forever. I was in a wedding they did and they did my best friend's sister. All of it was amazing work. You'll have to let me know how yours turn out.

I just booked DUET yesterday and after my 500 deposit I am paying something like 4500 for video and photo... but that includes

2 parent albums 24 pics
Wedding album 10X10 70-80 pics
600-800 proofs
Color and B+W

Edited Video
3 DVD's

Gift
Enlarged pic
Thank you cards

And they can do all your pics photojournalistic or whatever ratio you want!

North Island Photography. Small business (the owner is also one of the two photographers). They are incredibly nice, beautiful photography. Michael Rosengard (the owner) does the more 'traditional' shots and his partner (the other photographer)does more photojournalism and artistic shots. Great balance. $4500 and up and I thinkreally worth it. (of course I think that! That's who I chose!)

I think we are getting this same package, but we ugraded our album and added e-shoot and the total tax included was only $4,000.

ETA: I just realized, maybe it is because we are paying in cash - so we are not getting charged the $300 in taxes.
