I did not have a lot of time to shop around. I just whant to see what other brides got and how much they paid for it. I think my dress is way to expensive but I was pressured by time. The girl at the bridal shop told me I came to late and they wanted to charge me rush fees but I got away with it.
Your right curliegirl, the pic does it no justice. Here's a pic of the model and here's a non professional pic of me. I wish I knew how to use the scanner so I can show you how the dress photographs a little better.
nferrandi, you looked beautiful!! The dress looks amazing, did you add alot of tulle underneath? I am still undecided on how full I want it, because I want it really full, but it weighs so much! I saw you went strapless....I can't decide wether to kepp them up or not.
Any advice?
P.S. Did you get the white or the ivory/spun gold?

Thank you so much! I did wear an extra slip under the dress and I was glad I did. I really want to be a princess for a day and the slip helped achieve that look. I personally did not like the dress with straps at all, but I didn't have them cut out just in case the dress started to get to heavy or fall down. I never wound up using them. Here are a couple of things I found with the dress though... 1) Have them alter the dress so it fits perfect on your hips. It will sit right on your hip bones and you won't have to worry about lifting the dress up all night. However, in doing that, all the weight of the entire dress will be sitting on your hip bones and they WILL be sore by the end of the night. THE DRESS IS EXTREMELY HEAVY! 2) Wearing the slip didn't add any weight to the dress, so if you want the extra fullness go for it. 3) I really like the look of a French bustle, but I found that a traditional bustle looked MUCH better with this dress. You may feel differently, but at least try them both before you make a decision. 4) Don't worry too much about what shoes you wear because no one will see them under your dress. lol! The only time my shoes were seen was when DH went to get the garter and by that point I was in slippers. lol!

I wanted to do a french bustle too! Except with that dress it was impossible, and it wouldn't look right. I really appreciate the advice, while I had the dress on in the store, it was resting on my hips and I get what you are saying, sore hips!!!
Thank you sooooo much!
One last question, well two. Did you get the ivory? And did you add to the length of the train? I want it to be longer than the sample, but I am afraid I will fall over backwards from the weight!

I had the dress in the ivory. I saw something similar in white and I just liked the look of the ivory better, it felt more antiquey. I didn't have any length added to the train. I wouldn't have minded it longer, but I thought it was long enough as is. And trust me, it was a pain lugging it around for pictures. lol!
