Some people told me I had to pick a china pattern. Other people said it is a waste. I decided to put it on my registry. I think the one i picked below is pretty---who knows when I will have a house to invite people over to though. This is Kate Spade.
I really want the Vera Wang Lace But FH and FMIL love the Waterford Ballet Ribbon Its an ongoing thing, but ultimately its my choice

we weren't going to register for china either. heck we weren't even going to register for regular plates. then i saw this...fell in love, and now i have 3 registries instead of two.
i love it. fh loves penguins too. we're going to use it as our everyday dinnerware as well as fancy/holiday stuff

that's really nice! is there a pattern that combines the aspects you and FH love from the patterns you like? I mean, i guess ultimately it's your choice over FMIL's of course, but shouldn't your FH love it too?
