Some people told me I had to pick a china pattern. Other people said it is a waste. I decided to put it on my registry. I think the one i picked below is pretty---who knows when I will have a house to invite people over to though. This is Kate Spade.

If we were registering for fine china, that would be my choice too. Very pretty but simple design.
I just don't think we'll realistically use fine china. Especially since FH's family always uses plastic plates when they have family dinners.

This is ours. We had originally registered for the Opal Innocence by Lenox but had been told by a few people that the raised 'dots' have a tendency to chip off if you want to put them in the dishwasher. I have a large family and would not want to hand wash all of those dishes!!
