My engagement ring is a family heirloom that belonged to my husband's great grandmother. It is just under 2 carats set in white gold. It is round, but with the 4 prongs it sometimes makes it look almost square.

My wedding band is 1/2 carat. It's set in platinum. It is our hope to one day reset the diamond in the engagement ring to sit flush with my band.

Just wanted to keep this thread going for us newly engaged folks! ;)

Mine is the Tiffany Classic (aka 6 prong solitaire).

We haven't gotten to the wedding bands yet, but I'm thinking about looking into fancy colored diamonds. (I love yellow diamonds!!!)

Buttafli and jennbaby, I have the exact same ring as you guys! Mine is four prongs though!

I love mine...are yours Veraggio's?

I'm using an eternity band for my wedding band to go behind it. (platinum band with round stones all the way around....I don't have a digital camera and couldn't find a picture online!)

That means we have the same exact ring - I am 6 prong also - I love it! I am getting a wedding band with just 3 baguettes - a perfect match because I have a hard time looking outside of the box, although originally I wanted 5 round diamonds!

We bought our wedding bands in China town in NYC. We got incredible deals. We paid $625 for both bands - mine is diamond/platinum and David's is white gold - which yiou can see on page 1 of this thread.

MarcellaBella - I have the same e-ring in yellow gold and I have been having the most difficlut time finding a wedding band to go with it. I have not found a band that 'steps' up the way the e-ring does? Have you seen the band you described that you are getting? Thanks!!!
