Postage is going up...

Hey ladies for you who don't know about this...the postage is going up to .41 cents in MAY. So all the brides getting married in Late June and after will have to pay more for postage and here is the bad news for us JUNE-AUG brides...the wedding stamp may not be ready by then!!! Like everything else that had gone for me with this wedding this was just another thing to my head about!!!

awww....well you can always make your own stamps if worse comes to worse! on zazzle? stamps.com?

Ugh! Is it happening on May first? My RSVP date is May 4th so that may be a bit of a problem. Oh well, I guess it's just incentive to send the card back on time.

oh great- so i already began to put my invites together and my return envelopes are in there all sealed and ready to go.... now im mailing out my invites mid april- does that mean the guests have to add an additional stamp on the return address? UGHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Oh no!!! I'll have to take that into consideration now!! I need to send my invites out in a few weeks and that will be a problem with my RSVP date.

I know this is driving me crazy. I am getting married in September but I want to have my invitations ready to mail out on June 1, 2007 because I am going to be busy with dance recital season. I still have to look into making our own stamp. Can you bring the photo to the post office or do you have to that though the computer? Also is the stamp that put on the RSVP envelope going up or is it just the basic stamp. Thank you so much for helping me out.

I am sending my invitations out in May, so I am one of those brides...meanwhile, i bought three books of hershey kisses stamps to place on the rsvp envelopes...guess i will use them for my shower thank you's!!!

I was hoping to use the cute stamps I had left over from the STDs.

maybe I should invest in those special stamps with the couple's picture on it???? i don't want to use boring old stamps.
Do you think they'll at least have the pretty flower stamps by July?

Has anyone actually been able to find a statement from the post office saying that this is definitely happening?? I've seen press releases from last year that say that they want to raise the price, but I haven't been able to find something that says when or even if it is definite. Until they make a formal statement then I don't think we really need to worry about it.
