Question 1~

Need advice on finding a nice catering hall with ceremony capabilities in either Nassau County or Queens - that has great Italian food for a small wedding of approx 100 people?

Looking at possibly December 2011 - hoping for a Saturday wedding, and also trying to keep it at $100 per person including taxes & grats!
Is this possible or am I dreaming!!!!!

HELP!

Question 2 - Will a catholic priest marry a couple outside of the Roman Catholic Church?

Any input is greatly appreciated!

:) THANKS!

I don't have any exact places to refer you to, but based on what you're looking for I'm positive you'll be able to find something - December is considered 'off season' so that will help with price!

As for the catholic priest... I haven't found one person who has had luck. People have either gone with a Lutheran or another Christian pastor to marry them, or decided to go to a RC church and get married.

I'm sure there are other brides who can comment on that, but I'm a church bride, so...

HTH anyways!

Question 1- Check out Swan Club... maybe Verdi's also?

Question 2- Technically, no. You can be married by a FORMER priest outside of the Catholic church, but the church won't 'recognize' your marriage.

Thank you! I appreciate it!

Yea, im thinking a priest will not marry outside of the church!

I don't have a problem getting married at a church, its just that we wanted to make it more convenient and easier!

To me, marriage is marriage whether you do it on a mountaintop or at St Patricks Cathedral! LOL

Agreed!! I would've loved to have had an outdoor wedding, but it was important to the family that we have it in a church. It wasn't so bad, we rented a coach bus to shuttle guests from the church to the RH and back.

Good luck!!
