I have never thought of that, and if that is what they are doing, I do not care. It does not affect me in any way. JMHO

Of course people just post on some threads to increase the number of posts! It's a long running joke:

'You look beautiful!'

'Congratulations! '

'You look beautiful!'

'Congratulations! '

I know at least one person who said she spent like a day doing that (she was home sick) and made it to 1000 in record time.

And I'm not outing her.

honestly, who cares? if someone is that desparate for a t-shirt, i will give you mine (when the time comes). i politely declined my LIW's t-shirt and would do the same for the LIF's t-shirt.

anyone interested?

ETA: opps, i thought i was posting on LIF's.

ha. ok fair enough.

It's not that I care (I am not loosing sleep over it or anything), but I thought all these random posts make me laugh a little.

Okay, with this post I will be at 998, but I wanted to say when I write Congrats or something it is to be nice, not for just another post. Sometimes people post something they are excited about and then don't really get any responses and I would be upset if I were them. Anyhoo...thanks for putting up this topic so I could rack up another post! (it has taken me 10 1/2 months, though )

I've already got 3000, so this post is purely informative. I write a lot of those responses, but only if I mean it. I also find that my posting goes up and down with my mood. So when I'm not in a particularly social mood or I'm tired, I lurk more than I actually post.

The same goes for me...although I became a bigger poster post-wedding, I only respond if I truly mean it or know the person enough so that they will get my ...although when there are like 0 replies and 1000 views I feel bad and will do an occasional 'congrats'.

We all have way too much time on our hands...to post, to analyze posts...to critique...my job will fire me soon damnit!

see... that's nice, cause I get a lot of the no response to my posts or 2 response posts. So I can appreciate that sort of thing.

(awh, break out the violins)

confession: when I originally posted this I was referring to one specific person and feeling catty. Not very nice of me...

Thanks L - so glad to know I humor you!

And can I mention again how gorgeous your e-party pics are?

And I totally missed the fact that this was about one person...I'm pretty slow. But I agree with L - it's OK to be catty...some people make me wonder a lot.
