Hi ladies. Due to current circumstances I don't want to elaborate on, Fh and I may need to postpone our wedding.
I have the reception hall and DJ booked. When we decide to have our wedding, I plan on using the same place and vendor.
Does anyone know if I can get my money back? Or at the very least, applied to an event in the future. Our wedding is still over a year away, but I know brides book well in advance and no one else may pick up my date at the reception hall.
Any advice you ladies can give me on what to say would be great.

I would definitely call the hall and find out if you can postpone your date. There is plenty of time for them to re-book the date. I am sure the same goes for the DJ.

I hope that everything is OK...
In terms of your RH, I know at mine at least, if it's prior to 6 months before the wedding, the deposit can be transferred to another available date. If it's a suffolk RH, and for some reason you need to cancel all together, you can get all your money paid thus far except for 100 back, it's law.
DJ I'm not sure, but it probably can be applied towards the future.

this happened to one of FH's friends and they were able to just push the whole event back ... if you plan on having the reception at a different location and need the money back than you may have a problem.

I hope everything is okay ... I think the sooner you call them the better, they will probably have time to rebook your date, so you should get your money back ... at the very least they will hold your deposit for a future date
