but I love this one...not really 'conservative' though Chocolate Brown Suit w/skirt and Pink Blouse

ETA: Just to let you know - when we (law school students) go on interviews - we are told we MUST wear a navy blue suit

if you're going for a conservative look, black is never allowed on an interivew (by this i mean at places like banks and stuff). DH has interviewed people and if you're not wearing a dark blue suit you're definitely getting docked. but i'm not sure how formal the place you're interviewing is .. just stick to dark colors .. definitely no red!

I agree Navy too. Navy is the ultimate corporate color.

I know that I would wear Navy with the ivory or blue blouse.
What type of job is this for. I am an accountant and this or a black suit is a must.

What type of job is it? What type of presentation are you making.. if it's marketing/adv- go with the brown/pink.
Banking/Finance- go with navy
Anything else- go w. Charcoal and Light Blue

I don't think its true any more in a lot of places. I have worn a black and grey suits to interviews, and I don't think it has hurt me in any way.

I agree with you. I work in ULTRA corporate america dn I wore black to my interview. At all my HR management seminars and stuff, they say to keep it dark.........which is why I posted what I did above.
