Prayers and thoughts needed for a former students who's having surgery and may have bone cancer!!
I cant begin to say how upset I am . A student of mine from last year has been limping around school and he has a tumor on his hip and the dr's told his mom its 91% chance its bone cancer( how they know this I don know and i never heard of a diagnoses without a biopsy first but) anyway I saw him today as i was entering the bulding and i pretended like i didnt know anythig and asked him why he was limping he said he has a tumor and that he is being operated on tomorrow. I said why are you here and he said to say goodbye he wont be here the rest of the school year. Its funny b/c this kid was such a pain in the but when he was in my class last year, but when he said I am saying goosdbye I wanted to break down and cry. i didnt though I smply hugged him wished him luck and said to keep in touch so we can send him get well cards and goodies( i got a big smile out of him with that).It just breaks my heart to see anyone go through this but he is 14 years old and he is well aware of everythig going on. If he was little and everythign turned out ok he probobly wouldnt remmber but even if all is well he will have the emotional scars of going thorough this whole ordeal.
Ok sorry so long. Thoughts and prayers needed!!
