Prayers for my BM and her babies

I don't usually do this but I figure the more prayers the better.

As I've mentioned previously, my BM and friend of almost 20 years was pregnant with twins. Well, she called me this morning at 6:30am and apparently her water broke and she gave birth almost 2 months early.

She said the prognosis was good and they're in the NICU. They're tiny, under 2 lbs.

i was born 2 months early to the day and weighed 2 lbs.... in 1979! I think with modern care they'll do fine

Several people have told me that so it definetely makes me feel much better. She's had such a bad pregnancy and I just worry.

I'm resisting the urge to rush down to DC.... If she were closer it wouldn't be a big deal but unfortunately its a little to far....plus I know they only allow parents in the NICU (I remember my sister snuck me in when my nephew was born).

My cousin was pregnant with Twins and her water also broke 2 months before the due date. I'll def.them in my prayers, but I just wanted to ease your mind a bit and let you know that when someone's preggo with twins, it happens often that they're water breaks earlier than a reg. pregnancy.

Can't wait to hear the joyous news of the healthy babies and mommy!! =)

Aw my prayers are with you and your friend

....my neice was born 2 months early and was 2.3 lbs. She turned out just perfect, if that gives you any comfort.

ETA: My cousin was born at 27 weeks (that is about 3 months early). She is now 10 and my JR. BM and she is completely healthy. What they can do now as compared to just 10 years ago is completely amazing.

It was a tough fight and a long few months while she was in the hospital but the most important thing to remember is babies are natural fighters and they respond to the people around them. It is so important to always be postivie and loving when around them it is what keeps them going. So if your friend needs a good cry be there for her -- or when they are allowed to have other visitors go sit with them for a little while so she can get a break. It is going to be an emotionally draining ride -- but will be so worth it!!!!!!!!

Some times w/ twins that happens! I'am a twin myself, and bybest friend and twins about 6 yrs ago and us and them were both born a head of time...
They will probably have to stay at the hospital after your friend leaves just to make sure they can breath on the own and all that good stuff! Reguardless i will still pray for your friend b/c twins are a blessing and a handful at the same time!
Just help your friend out as much as you can, she is going to need it LOL......
