Prayers Needed for Patrick! UPDATE! Pics added on page 2

Patrick has fell victim of bad teeth! It's a bit of bottle rot & the fact that he fell on his face a few months back. So, after going to a pediatric dentist we have to go to Schneiders on Friday. Patrick will have to go into the operating room & has to be put under!! There they will take x-rays & they might have to remove his front 4 teeth. =( Hopefully they can save them & just give him root canals. If they do take out the teeth when his molars grow in they will give him a fake bridge. I am beyond nervous. And I am hoping that he will be ok. I just can't imagine seeing him on the operating room table! I am not good at handiling this stuff. I'm hoping my husband will be more stable then I will be. Please just keep him in mind on Friday morning. Cross your fingers that his teeth can be saved. (though I do know that the front 2 are VERY bad)

Just popping in over here to see how all the mommies are! Tracy, i'm glad Patrick is doing better now. The bridge should help, not just for his appearance but for biting and chewing as well as speech. I wouldn't want to see him develop an errored speech pattern! Hope mommy and son are doing well!

My son had to have his front teeth taken out when he was 4, but they didn't do the bridge thing - they never even offered it! He's been without them now for over to years!! He's six now. Patrick looks adorable!!

I never heard of this. And all of a sudden all these Mommies are telling me how common it is. It makes me happy to know I'm not the only one!!

Tracy, he's adorable! So sad he had to go through this, but I'm glad there is a solution.
I never thought of his speech pattern being altered, as mentioned by Sasha. I was thinking of my own situation, and wondering if the bridge would effect his permanent teeth growing in, his gums etc...
I'm so glad the worst is over for you & especially Patrick sounds like he'll be chomping down carrots in no time
