My dad just called, he just got out of the angiogram(sp?). Unfortunately it wasn't an artery problem, it is a valve so he is going to have to have surgery...

You are in my prayers...

Try to hang in there ... I know its not the news your wanted he will really will be OK -- cardiac care and medicine has gotten really exceptional today and there are so many success stories out there. You grandfather will be one of them!

Ditto about NYU...that's where my mom had her valve repair done. Do you know if he is using Dr. Colvin? His team is wonderful.

I don't know who his surgeon is yet but when i find out i will let ya know. His doctor is the head of cardiology...a family friend

Something good...He was allowed home today and for the weekend
But he meets with his doctor and surgeon on tuesday
