Remember a couple weeks back I asked you guys to pray for FH's aunt, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer?
Well the doctors ran tests and she got second and third opinions, and was told that she was one of the lucky 10%(-ish) who caught it early enough to operate on the tumor, as the tests showed that the cancer had not spread. (That 10% group has the longest life expectancy of people diagnosed with the disease).
They performend the surgery yesterday and as soon as they opened her, they found that the cancer had spread...a lot. They didn't remove anything.
I really do not understand how/why the tests showed otherwise; unfortunately now her body has been through some unnecessary trauma.
Cancer is a b!tch. I feel like every year we're losing someone...sometimes a couple of someones...who we love.
