I actually made a transition from legal into HR and am in graduate school for my Master's in HR Development and Organizational Management (and have a 4.0 in my program). I'm currently in a consulting assignment as a recruiting coordinator for Citigroup. Prior to that, my positions were all legal-based. I was a commercial real estate paralegal and everyone knows how the real estate market is, so I decided to switch careers. I was with my law firm for 2 1/2 years (even switched firms with a group of attorneys) and was laid off in 2009 due to the market. Since then I've only been able to find consulting work which hasn't resulted in anything due to the economy.
