prayers please

My grandfather called before as many of you know my step grandmother has been very sick for the last few weeks. She passed away at 1AM this morning Arizona time. So now im asking for prayers for my grandfather and that he is ok bc I definitely dont want to lose my only grandparent that I have left. I just hope he is ok. My aunt is on her way out there to help him with everything he needs help with. I just hope everything works out

Thanks everyone. Its going to be a difficult week. They are having a mass for her out there and she is then being cremated after my grandfather will come to NY for a little bit and have a mass here for her so that the rest of the family can attend. Im not sure if my grandfather will be making it to my wedding. I hope he does but I understand if he doesn't. Its just a very sad time

I hope your grandfather makes it to your wedding. To share my experience with you, my great grandfather (91 years old) passed away; 4 months later my grandmother (his daughter) passed away (from cancer). My great grandmother is now 93 years old and better than she has been in a long time. I know it may be hard to believe but she really is happy. She lives in Florida, and started to work again! She owns a small jewelry space in an antique market but stopped working when her daughter was diagnosed with cancer. After she passed my grandmother decided to be strong (i dont know how she does it) but she works 3 days a week (for 4 hours or so). It is a very inspiration story imo (but i am biased) and hopefully it will give you hope for your grandfather. stay strong!
