Prayers Please!! UPDATE

My grandmother is having open heart surgery as we speak... she has had a rough couple months and it has been heart breaking seeing the pain she had endured these past 2 months... please keep her in your prayers.




UPDATE: Thank you all for your prayers... granny made it through the surgery.. but last i heard she was still asleep and they had to wait for her to wake up on her own (could take at least 8 hours since she was heavily sedated)... not sure if that has happened yet, bc visiting hours aren't until 1PM & my mom hasn't called me with an update, but i'm sure she has ... they say the first 72 hours are critical.. so please keep her in your thoughts

she also had a stroke the night before the surgery so we won't really know they effects of that until after she comes out of this... thanks for all the support ladies!!!

Everything will be fine!

Also a little support - a few years ago my 85 year-old great aunt had open heart surgery and we were all worried, but it turned out just fine. Hang in there.

thanks.. she's just been thru a lot lately

went into the hospital for diverticulitis in june... came out with a pacemaker

had her gallbladder removed 3 weeks ago ... on top of that my aunt passed away shortly after (not her daughter.. my uncles wife)

then had a stroke 2 weeks ago and has been in the hospital ever since... where they then found out she has a serious infection in her bloodstream which has attacked her heart and they only way to get rid of the infection is thru this surgery since the infection has destroyed her heart valve

& to make matters worse had another stroke last night... i really hope her body can handle all of this!!
