Pre-Cana
Hi all.Last night was our first night at pre-cana. It was great. It really makes you think about A LOT of stuff. I'm glad that the church is making us do it.
It brings out the best and worst of you.
No complaints about the people from the church either. They were so funny.
Good luck to all.

Re: Pre-Cana
I'm doing something like pre-cana. Instead in the Christian religion it's called 'pre-marital counseling' and my FH and I felt the same way after the one meeting. A lot of people complain about it, but we left feeling even better with each other moreso than before we went in. It makes me look forward to life with him even more!

Re: Pre-Cana
We finished our a few weeks ago and we were both surprised that we actually enjoyed it. We did learn a few things about each other. The married couples that ran it were great people.

Re: Pre-Cana
What type of pre-cana are you doing? FH and I are still trying to decide if we want to do the weekly meeting or the overnight retreat. Any suggestions?

Re: Pre-Cana
We're doing the weekly meeting. It last about 2 hours and you get a break in between.

Re: Pre-Cana
I actually miss pre cana. It was a long ride out there for us, so we talked on the way there, during and after instead of sitting around and watching tv or whatever.

I guess the good thing is that they are not biased either. There are couple who live together, already have children, and they don't make you feel like crap about that.
No answer is right or wrong, and they respect that.

Six weeks?
Our is only three weeks long.
Our first & last meeting was on a Sunday for two hours (plus we had to go to mass after). Then I think it was four Wednesday nights from 7:30-9:30. It didn't seem to last as long as it did.
