did you really take anything valuable away from this experience?

what answers to questions surprised you or were the most pleasing to you?

I think FH and I walked away with the knowledge that we are a much stronger couple than we think.

If you and your FH are on solid ground and have a great relationship with open lines of communication, then it should be a piece of cake. We were both surprised at how easy it was and enjoyable because we were definitely dreading it.

I totally agree. It opened up so much communication between the two of us. It kind of forced us to talk about stuff that sometimes we try to avoid. If I could I probably would do it again and Fh agrees too.

So true... we loved our pre cana. It opened a lot of discussion about stuff we would never really talk about (ie. Money)

My pre cana is tomorrow and I hope it helps open up the communication between FH and I. I am a very open person with my feelings and pretty much say what I feel and he is not. He avoids talking about stuff. I hope the experience makes us grow as a couple.

I will let you know how it goes...

we walked into it thinking it was going to be like 15 hours of root canal, but it actually wasn't that bad. they basically give you a good perspective.... to never take each other for granted, to not sweat the small stuff, avoid having inlaws bud into your relationship, and make family your top priority....

Re: pre cana...

thanks sarah. james is anti pre-cana, he's heard such horror stories. his friends did a weekend retreat and damn near broke up! i don't think we are getting married in the church anyway. we've been living in 'sin.' last night he said, 'baby, they won't let us go, you know what we've been doing' I said, 'and so has almost every other couple there.' :)

love you!
