If its at Immaculate Conception Seminary in Douglaston then yes that is how it is. Usually they will let you go early on Saturday

We went to an interfaith pre-cana in West Hempstead, and the hours were the same as yours.

The Saturday session did end a little bit early .... I think an hour early?

We really enjoyed it, it was a nice experience to go through together.

I went to the pre cana in queens and they did not keeps the whole time. We went on friday night and they only kept us for like half the time. On saturday theyalso did not keep us the whole time. I think we were there till like 2 or 3.

From Wikipedia:

Pre-Cana is a course or consultation Catholic couples must undergo before they can be married in a Catholic church. The name is derived from John 2:1-12, the wedding feast at Cana in Galilee, where Jesus performed the miracle of turning water into wine.
