Pre-Cana

Just got the call.. I start pre-cana in september. EEEEKKKKK!

yea we did ours early, so that id idnt have to worry about it, we actaully enjoyed it, it was nice--- enjoy it
and dnt stress- its totally fine

Ive been hearing that alot actually.. Did you do Focuus first? Thats what i am nervous about!

First FH needs to get us our priest... then we can worry about Pre-Cana LOL

I think I need to call in September about taking it (that's what my church said). I wish I could get it done earlier

NHP - what high school did you go to?! I went to Herricks, class of 2003. I went to St. Aidan's but MOST of my friends were at Notre Dame.

We finished pre cana in March at St. Anthony of Padua in East Northport and it was a breeze! Actually was a lot of fun - no Focuus test required though. Just 6 - 2 hour sessions and a mass at the end where FH and I were chosen to bring up the gifts. So cute!

Im not from LI actually, I grew up in westchester, FH is from Holbrook. Its in the middle , and thats where we want to live and want our kids to go ! So funny! Oh and I am a 2003 baby too! But Focuus is mandatory!

Aww !! Eeek. I just saw a vent about your church on the 2010 boards, i hope you have not experienced any problems with it!!

do most churches do one long session or a few weeks? My FH works days and I work nights. I'm nervous about how to schedule it.

We did the Friday night one (730-930) and all day Saturday (9-5)... There are also I believe 7:30 to 9:30 for either a tuesday or wednesday but it can be for three or six weeks long...

we are going to do our Pre-Cana in Sept toooo

but we might do it at our church...not sure yet
The priest gave us a list of places, we have to look at all the dates

Same here! FH is dragging his heels...we'll probably sign up for the one in november or wait until the 2011 schedule comes out...

i took pre cana early because I didnt need an extra stress coming down to the wire. Pre Cana was so much fun we actually did our pre cana before we got our FOCCUS results back the FOCCUS is a bunch of poop if you ask me. just answer what you think the church wants to hear and you'll be fine.

Our church did 5 sessions, an intro at the church, 3 at our pre cana couples home and then attending a mass. But we had an amazing couple who rocked so that will always make it so much better.

Yaaaayyy- I'm kind of excited to do it! Did they just call you to set it up after giving them your wedding information? When we met with them, they said when we would probably be doing it, but I haven't heard anything since then- which was months ago. I guess I should call to follow up, huh?
