pre cana

Original post by Jenn7982

Hey girls! My friend just came back from the 'weekend retreat' of pre cana. She had mostly all good things to say about it. A big plus was that it was all over in one weekend! Anyway, I am now thinking this is the route we will be taking. I was curious if any of you were thinking about doing the weekend pre cana?? I came up with what I thought was a good idea... Maybe we can get a group of us, and take it all together! Thoughts?

yes, you sleep over night at the 'seminary for immaculate conception' I believe it is in Huntington. Not positive though. Everyone gets their own room with a bed, bathroom, and a desk. It actually sounds kinda interesting... But it sounds like there are ones where you can go friday night and go back the next day for the full saturday. The weekend retreat starts at 7pm friday and you end 3pm on sunday.

We are def not doing a religious ceremony, and are unsure of who will be our officiant.... will any reverend require precana? or is that only if you are doing a 'church' wedding? Our schedules are so busy, I don't know how I'm going to plan this wedding as it is, so to add one more thing that we have to do will be insane, but we will do what we have to do!

this is only if you're getting married in a church

no way... everyone has their own small room. when my friend did it last weekend i think she said there were like 16 couples, and they all had their own rooms
