FH and I have already taken pre-cana and liked it. We felt it was a great bonding experience and just reconfirmed our commitment and love to each other.

We had a great experience w/ pre-cana. We had great host couples who were very down to earth. Each session we talked about a different topic: Communication, Conscience Formation, Sexuality, and Spirituality. You definitely get out of it what you put into it.

Not yet, However I did take the Foccus group test--That was crazy....

So do you just take the test and then discuss those topics...that's it? Do you discuss them with each other or with the group? I'm sort of excited about it!

We are doing pre cana right now - have been through 3 sessions and have 1 left. We actually have liked it. If nothing else, it gives us 2 hours a week that it's all about us and our relationship - not worrying about anything else. We actually have laughed together most on these nights ... it's just been 'our' time.

its nice. gets you to talk about things that maybe you havent talked about already, like kids, religion, etc..
we just had our 5th last night and last session is next week.. its nothing to be nervous or worried about

FH and I are going this weekend. Cause he lives out of state we had to do the one where you do it all in two days. I hope it goes well.

We absolutely loved it. Our host couple was awsome, and besides that, I adore our priest. It put TONS of things in perspective for us, and we walked away with alot. And the FOCCUS test, is nothing to be worried about. Just alot of questions. Some in which definately open your eyes , as to what your individual thoughts are on certain issues. A real eye opener. Thankfully we did really well on that

Re: Pre Cana anyone

It was very painful.... we did the marathon weekend (which I highly recommend)...I don't think I could do it for 1 day a week for 6 weeks. The other people in our group were great....we made it fun...

Pre-cana is nothing to worry about! We actually are in the middle of ours and almost look forward to going. Its not bad. You just basically talk about different aspects of marriage, most of which you probably already have figured out but some you probably never thought about.

yes we did it- have to say it was a great experience! I really think that anyone who is getting married (whatever denomination) should have to go through some sort of premarraige course!
