I know its relatively early but we didnt want to leave everything to the last minute so we did pre cana yesterday and it was really cool!
i know its kinda cheesy but we both really enjoyed it! i hope everyone else has such a good experience like us

you only had one day of it? we have to go for like 6 weeks. we are in the middle of doing it right now. i really like it too. the couple thats doing it for us are awesome

Sounds like it was short and painless! I am NOT looking forward to it at all.... we have to go for like 7-8 weeks, 2 hours at a time. UGHH. We are not doing ours until Winter of 2010, which I am not very happy about. I wanted to get it over with lol.

If you are getting married in the Catholic Church you have to complete it. It's supposed to be a prepartory type thing to prepare you for marriage. LoL I am horrible at explaining things.

i cant wait for precana!!! i am looking forward to it as well, i really dont know if FH is or not...
im really happy cuz one of my BMs whos engaged and getting married at the same church in July is signing up for the same precana session as us...so that will make it even better!!

it was 1 day, 9-5 and then we all went to the 5:00 mass and walked down the procession. they had us all stand up after the homily and presented us with crosses and then everyone clapped!
there were a bunch of interactive activities about communication, and appreciating differences between men and women. it wasnt so much about religion so much as marriage. i thought it was going to be more preachy but it wasnt at all.
here's an example of what we did: FH and i sat back to back and i had a diagram of different shapes on a paper. He had to draw the diagram just by listening to what i said. so basically i had to describe the diagram and he couldnt ask any questions. needless to say it came out terrible. then we switched, and he described the diagram and i had to draw, but this time i was able to ask questions. that one came out perfect. they bring up a lot of 'food for thought' on stuff you might not have discussed before. like will you have a tv in the bedroom, will you bring your kids to church every sunday etc.
i would try to keep an open mind about it, you'll be pleasantly surprised!
