pre cana help!!!

pls some one help me!!!!!! I need to know something about pre cana. I thought that we talk to the priest where we were having our wedding, but I just heard for my mom that the priest don't know anything about that and that I have to find a place that they to the classes...... Pls I need some help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you getting married in a church? (I didn't think priests would marry you outside of a church) The church will definitely have that information for you.

The church where you're getting married didn't give you any info on it? Normally you'd go to precana through your church.

If you have to meet with the priest I am sure he will mention it. It is a requirement to get married in the Catholic Church. Ask him if you have to do it. It is a 1 1/2 day class with a bunch of other coulpes.

Your church should have information on pre-cana for you. If the priest hasn't mentioned it, call your church rectory first and they should be able to give you info.

if you're getting married in a church you definitely have to do pre-cana...just ask your church, some churches do it themselves, mine stopped doing it 2 years ago and they just gave us a site with all the locations in queens and brooklyn and we picked which one we want to go to.

I am getting married at St. Ann's Catholic Church here in DC. So when I talk to the priest, he should be able to let me know right? But why did my mom tell me that I need to get info through a different church?

even if you do it at a different church just ask your priest about it...i think what your mom means is that your church wont hold the pre-cana at the church but instead you'll have to go to a different church to do it, regardless your priest will have this information and tell you where you have to do it, otherwise how will you know. Then after you know you can either call up that church and find out when they have pre-cana or the priest will tell you what to do to register for pre-cana.

We went and spoke to our priest and he told us all about pre cana and then you can even go on the website for your diocese and all the info is there and you can book it on there.

yup i registered for pre-cana online, we asked our church and they gave us the site, so even though pre-cana isn't held at my church they still were able to give us the info...infact i start pre-cana tonight, in 2 hours

theres no reason to worry or panic...all you really do is talk about your relationship and see where you guys differ and try to work on that and things of that sort. Im actually looking forward to it tonight
