Pre-Cana Meals

Pre-Cana Meals

I have Pre Cana tomorrow night and all day Saturday. I know they will feed us, but I'd like to know what kind of food is served.

For girls that have already been through the weekend Pre-Cana. What type of food do they serve and what are the timings.

The reason I'm asking is because I am on a strict diet (in order to fit into my dress) and if anything, then I'll just take my own food in. Maybe that sounds more reasonable regardless of the food provided. Official weig-in for me is Sunday and I don't want to $crew it by eating crappy on Saturday.

Hope I'm making sense.

TIA

Re: Pre-Cana Meals

I feel like I am missing out on something...my priest told me I don't have to do Pre-Cana because I have been in the parish since I am seven and my FH has been coming to church with us for years...

Is it fun? Am I missing a cool part of the wedding planning process?

Thanks ladies!!!

It seems like I should pack my lunch and look the other way. I will be tempted by crumb cakes, and cookie platter.

Yikes!!! I can't give in though. It's going to be hard.

sunday's weigh in should tell the story.

Uh... I'm really surprised by that recommendation. As far as I know, pre-cana is required by the church for a recognized marriage in the church.

yeah, I'd double check that one! I know for us, the pre-cana certificate is just as important as the baptismal certificates as documents required for the ceremony to take place....

It's tedious, yet fun.... and in the end, we appreciated each other more, so it was a good experience. I'd do it if I were you, since it really is required by the church... If you don't, the dioscese fould make a big stink at any time!

You dont have too?? i never heard that one before! Hmmm id def check into that. In order for your wedding to happen they must have the paper work to send to the dioceses!
