Pre-Cana Question

Does it make a difference when you do pre-cana? We are not getting married until November 2015. Our church gave us the dates for pre-cana 2014 or said we can wait until next year to do it. FH has a crazy work schedule and rarely has weekends off. There are 4 for this year and one of the pre-cana weekends is this February and its the only one that he would be off for this year. So I guess my question is, is there any negatives to doing it too early? or any benefits of waiting until next year?

Pre-Cana Question - Long Island Weddings

You can do it when you want! FH and I did ours in November and there was couple not getting married until late 2015. I think it's good to do it mid planning I realized that planning is a whole new stress and fh and I were arguing a lot and it really put things into perspective and helped us reconnect. We had a great experience and haven't had a single argument since! It was wondeful! :) do it when your ready to!

Pre-Cana Question - Long Island Weddings

I see you're getting married at St. Patrick's Church and your reception is at Timber Point! Same here! I honestly can't think of any negatives of doing precana too early. If the priest marrying you says it's fine, then I see no reason not to do it when your schedule permits. FH and I are doing the upcoming precana this February, so if you decide to do it then, see you there!

I just noticed that! Father Tom didn't seem to care when we did it, so I guess we will do it in February, don't want to take any chances of FH not having any of the weekends off next year..So yes we will see you there!

that's so funny! I can't wait to hear all about your wedding!! FH went to St. Pats school from preschool-8th grade and Father Tom was just starting out at St. Pat's during that time and still remembers FH and his whole family. So it was important to FH for him to be marrying us.
